Ulai Enterprises Private Limited was incorporated in 1999 by a polymer and plastic technologist who had spent decades working with some of India's and the world's leading plastics and polymer companies — covering R&D, production, application development, and commercial leadership. That breadth of experience is the foundation on which Ulai was built.
In its early years, Ulai operated as the exclusive India and sub-continent sales channel for a USA-based TPV manufacturer, building deep technical knowledge of thermoplastic vulcanizate chemistry, processing, and application development. This was not simply a distribution role — it involved working with Indian part processors to qualify new grades, solve processing challenges, and develop new applications in the automotive and industrial markets.
From 2006, Ulai restructured and expanded its model significantly. New technologies, new product categories, and new international supplier relationships were added. The machine portfolio — blow molding, deflashing, rubber presses, cutting equipment — was introduced to serve the downstream processing needs of the industry. This gave Ulai a unique position: a supplier who could specify both the raw material and the machine best suited to process it.
The addition of project consultancy services — particularly for Type 4 composite cylinders (CNG, LPG, Hydrogen, Oxygen) — extended Ulai's reach into capital project work. Today, Ulai can support a manufacturer from concept and feasibility study through to plant installation, commissioning, and training from its associate partner/supplier.
Ulai's team combines commercial and technical expertise across raw material chemistry, machine engineering, logistics, and market development. Team members have received training with principal suppliers in India and internationally, giving us first-hand knowledge of the products and processes we represent.
